Assertive communication is simply the ability to communicate effectively with others in various different environments in an assertive manner. There are many reasons why this ability is helpful.   Many people tend to communicate with others in ways that are either too aggressive or not aggressive enough. Assertive communication is communication in which your manner will reflect a proper balance or “happy medium.” It will allow you to express your point of view honestly and confidently without allowing others to overpower you and without trying to overpower them.
